What shines and what doesn't
Location is ideal for cathedral visits with a unique building character and nice room views. Staff support with luggage was greatly appreciated.
Noise issues were intrusive, particularly from the restaurant below. The room felt dated and in need of maintenance.

The hotel was an excellent base for enjoying a shopping area, right by the restaurant as well as riverside. The rooms were all en suite and heated with an anti-rodent device and a kettle-and shared toilet plus tea or coffee. Variety of food for...

It was in a central location, in heart of Ely so great for town centre access-walkable from station. The food was good and the staff were really helpful and excellent.

The view of the cathedral was absolutely stunning! 😍 Although I had a bit of trouble checking in due to phone issues, the room was quite nice and spacious. The stairs were a little steep, though.

The location is superb for exploring the historic city and is just a stone's throw from the magnificent Ely Cathedral.
The room I stayed in was overly hot at night, and the only available fan struggled to make a noticeable difference.

Loud Nights and Awkward Bathrooms
So, we stayed for 2 nights and it was a bit of a mess honestly. The bathroom was not well-maintained, and the noise from the music and shouting next door was unbearable. At one point, we thought it was a party! On the bright side, the location was great for getting to local places easily. Just watch out for those late-night disturbances.

The location is the standout feature, with easy access to shops and bars. The room was adequate but quite dark, as only one light worked, and it was stuffy at night without enough pillows. Although the en-suite was small, it served its purpose well. A fan was provided to help cope with the warmth, and the tea-making facilities were a bit tricky to use due to the kettle size.
